Job Description: Senior Structural Engineer

Qualifications:
- A four-year degree in structural/civil engineering is required.
- 15+ years of total experience (At least 5 years’ experience working in the UAE)
- Experience in civil/structural engineering in infrastructure projects encompassing design and construction works, as well as understanding of codes, design documents, and construction methods.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to perform essential technical roles.
- Comprehensive understanding of industry procedures and regulations.
- Current technology knowledge and effective use on the project
Responsibilities:
- Field engineering assignments including the planning, execution, supervision, and coordination of all technical components of a construction project are challenging and complex.
- Maintains first-level quality assurance to ensure that all work under his/her discipline is installed in accordance with the plans, specifications, and industry standards.
- Ensures that tests and inspections are carried out, witnessed, and documented according to established procedures.
- Collaborates with construction management to eliminate any dangers linked with the job that could harm the environment or employees' safety or health.
- Ensures that the assigned group's personnel engage in safe work practices in accordance with site-specific safety policies and industry standards.
- Creates and maintains contact with the discipline design engineering staff.
- Examines and understands discipline design drawings and specifications to guarantee current revision level and proper technical execution of job.
- Provides technical engineering problem resolution within the designated discipline(s); facilitates solution application.
- Creates and oversees disciplinary construction schedules.
- Provides the Construction Manager with a schedule and progress appraisal report.
- Monitors material procurement and deliveries to guarantee timely completion of construction operations and schedules within the designated discipline.
- Ensures that materials received fulfill specifications and quality standards.
- Organizes the collection of allocated discipline data for the final project report and turnover.
- As needed, initiates, and maintains records, back-charge procedures, progress reports, and so on.
- There may be some contact with the client and upper-level management.
- Other duties related with this role may be assigned as needed.
