Qualifications:

  • Civil engineering bachelor's degree
  • Office design experience is necessary if you have 15+ years of similar professional experience.
  • In the state of California, professional engineer registration is necessary.
  • Must be able to obtain a federal security clearance, which needs verification of US citizenship.
  • Proven ability to perform as a leader
  • Outstanding written and oral communication abilities
  • A thorough understanding of industry procedures and laws is necessary.
  • Experience working on infrastructure enhancement projects for government/military entities is highly requested.

Responsibilities:

  • Examines completed work to ensure that applicable codes, standards, and procedures are followed and that the quality is satisfactory.
  • Monitors assigned personnel's productivity and technical proficiency. As project demands arise, makes staffing assignments and reassignments.
  • Conducts performance reviews, proposes promotions and pay actions, and recommends training and development for assigned workers.
  • As the situation merits, provides technical direction, making choices and/or securing extra technical staff support. Obtaining the services of consultants may be part of this.
  • Encourages technical excellence on the project, particularly the advancement of the Quality Improvement Process.
  • Ensures that proper checks are carried out in compliance with the discipline checking policy and procedures. Maintains clear and frequent interactions to ensure that discipline design work is coordinated with project employees and Engineers from other disciplines.
  • Informs engineering and project management of any issue areas, personnel requirements, manufacturing delays, scope modifications, or other events that may have an impact on project completion and/or profitability.
  • Change order requests for additions, deletions, or revisions to the initial scope of work are initiated and/or reviewed.
  • For discipline standards, recommends design approaches, equipment utilization, and so on.
  • In charge of supervising the creation of project drawings and design calculations.
  • Maintains connection with professional organizations in order to stay current with technology.
  • Technical papers are recommended and prepared.
  • Other responsibilities related to this function may be assigned as needed.
