Qualifications:

• An associate degree or equivalent in a technical discipline or construction-related profession is necessary, or a high school diploma and similar job experience (some drafting and related course work including basic mathematics).
• Depending on the type of inspection assignment, formal certification from an independent body (NEBOSH Certification) is required.
• 5+ years' experience as an HSE Officer / Safety Inspector in major construction projects, including experience building continuing safety procedures for the Company and client organizations, including HSE training.
• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and construction specifications, as well as be well-versed in construction processes relevant to the area of assignment.
• Basic computer program and software skills, such as MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent English verbal and written communication abilities.

                                                                     

Responsibilities:

• The Safety Inspector is in charge of multi-site safety regulations, procedures, and training for onsite construction services such as irrigation and landscaping projects, irrigation main distribution, and pumping station projects.
• Participates in the creation of job safety practices as well as the creation of safety reports.
• In a multi-site capacity, I managed operations and directed labor and contract staff.
• Responsible for conducting and supervising all onsite safety inspections for the customer base, developing strategic strategies for deficiency recovery, and ensuring compliance with safety program standards.
• Performed all parts of onsite accident investigations for the territory's complete customer base, including witness and victim interviews, post-accident site evaluations, and root cause analysis.
• Participated in weekly project safety inspections and assisted project supervision with daily safety inspections.
• Other responsibilities related to this function may be assigned as needed.
